We were engaged by Wellcome Collection to evaluate its work with individuals and organisations who collaborate on aspects of its extensive public programme. In particular, Wellcome was keen to learn how collaborators had experienced the collaboration process and to consider ways in which it could develop its working practices in future.
To this end, we held immersion meetings with Wellcome’s public programme leadership team and went on to conduct an online survey of collaborators. Outcomes of the survey fed into a series of focus groups and finally, we interviewed six individuals. The content of these interviews form a framework for the construction of detailed narratives which describe individuals’ experiences of working with Wellcome Collection.
